Will Anderson, AA6DD
Six Meters, The Magic Band
Will Anderson was first licensed in 1965 as a Novice with the call sign of WB5RIV. He quickly upgraded to Technician. He earned his Extra Class in 1970. He was net control for the Rag & Tech Net on 222.085 Mhz for ten years starting in 1968. Will co-developed the quagi antenna with Wayne Overbeck, N6NB. He was an avid VHF/UHF contester during the 60's and early 70's.
Will attended Cerritos Community College and California State where he majored in Electronics. He did his vocational education at UCLA. He worked as an instructor for National Education Center and ITT where he taught electronics. Will has been the vice president of the California Six Meter Club for the past 20 years. He is a life member of the ARRl and serves as a Technical Coordinator for the Southwestern Division. He is a frequent speaker at many ham clubs in southern California. He moderates the AM Roundtable on 50.400 every sunday at 10:00 A. M. He also runs the California Six Meter Sideband Net on 50.150 Mhz every Tuesday at 8:00 P. M.
